Let me introduce myself: my name is Adriaan, I live in the Netherlands, I am a licensed radio amateur, and I have been involved in electronics all my life.
In recent years, I have focused more on arduinos, Raspberry Pi's, and funny and useful applications of them.
The forum about the VersaTherm made me curious, also because I also recently made this terminal.
I am also into ham radio, such as packet radio, RTTY, FT8, i.e. receiving different modes on designated frequencies on shortwave.
I am not yet retired but that will not take long.
As you can see, I can keep myself busy.
Thanks in advance for allowing me to join this forum.
I hope to become a bit wiser from it too.

I never did get my amatuer radio license, but I do recall briefly helping out a friend when they was exploring packet radio, back in the day.

Even so, I know everyone here is passionate about their own areas of expertise, and keen to help out where they can.

Greetings Adriana, good to hear from another enthusiast.
I have an interest in terminal equipment and have owned and built several using various devices including esp32, Arduino, raspberry pi Pico, and some FPGA parts too. I own a Wyse mono terminal too. I have a small collection of modems too including a courier v-eveeything, pace 56k and a terminated view data terminal. I did some VHF listening on packet some years ago but there is little activity in the rf shaded hollow where we live. This limits the range of my Lora station too. I've also played around with sdr systems using hackrf and Lyme devices. All good fun, David
