Ha ha - same here 86, 7E, 39, 20, 26, 27, 01, etc give me an immediate flash of the associated instruction in my mind (which were thankfully mostly similar for the 6800 as well).

Woohoo, I now have the 6840 timer and interrupts working with the MAME emulator. The only thing that isn't implemented is the sound chip connected to the PIA (and the PIA).

It's probably all the images that you have . I have a few wizzards (Creativisions) and many other 80's computers/consoles and are based in Auckland.

I suspect so. I think all of the multicarts (that I've seen), have all the games that are also available from CreatiVEmu.

Yes, I remember the Dick Smith Wizzard very well. I remember it as the first colour video game console (or "computer"), that I ever had a chance to play on. Hence, the nostalgia element in it for me. I never actually owned one back in the day, as all of my teenage earnings had gone into a System 80 at that time. The first colour computer that I owned, as I recall, was the C64.

I've just updated the initial post with a link to Part 2, where I share my CreatiVision Controller design journey.

The Post / Video is a bit longer than my usual, as I wanted to ducument my design journey, instead of just demonstrating the end result.

But, for those who manage to last to the end, there is a... one more thing! :)

Part 2 can be found here: Minimalist Europe Card Bus (MECB) – 6502 CreatiVision re-Creation (Part 2)

I've again updated the initial post with a link to Part 3, where I introduce a major verison upgrade (v2.0) for the CreatiVision Controller.

The perfectionist in me is now happy to call my CreatiVision Controller complete!

Part 3 can be found here: Minimalist Europe Card Bus (MECB) – 6502 CreatiVision re-Creation (Part 3)

Also, don't forget, this CreatiVision re-Creation project series, also features in my RetroChallenge 2024/10 entry for October.
My progress, on what will now be a future Part 4, can be followed here: RetroChallenge 2024/10 (RC2024)

Very impressive, looks like you've nailed it there. I'm not a gamer but I really 'need' to buy one of your interfaces. Well done. David

Thanks for your feedback. I suppose I'm not really an avid "gamer" myself, as such. This project was more driven by Nostalgia, as I worked for the importer of the CreatiVision as a teenager at the time. I couldn't afford one at the time, but it was the first colour TV gaming console I'd ever seen, and we got to play with one in the back office when they first arrived. Our country had major import restrictions at the time (to protect local manufacturers apparently), so it was only allowed in as a computer (so we bundled it with its BASIC cartridge).

This CreatiVision re-Creation project has temporarily diverted me from my more mainstream MECB project list, but I imagine I'll be done after the RetroChallenge "CreatiVision Keyboard" project component. After which, I'll be done, and back into my MECB mainstream projects.

But, it's sure been a fun diversion! :geek:

The initial post has now been updated for the final Part 4 of my CreatiVsion series, which presents my CreatiVision Mechanical Keyboard add-on to the Controller. This is also the culmination of my RetroChallenge 2024/10 project.

This can be found here: Minimalist Europe Card Bus (MECB) – 6502 CreatiVision re-Creation (Part 4)

This now completes my 4 part CreatiVision series. So, it's finally time to get back to the list of MECB projects awaiting my attention!

Great work Greg - congratulations on getting it all running. It's quite nice seeing a complete stand-alone system like that.
