Re: minicom parameters for sending S19 files to Tutor ?
Thank you for the thorough explanation.
I was mostly worried that my soldering job was so bad it introduced some defect.
This led me to my first 68008 "program", with mecb.inc, tutor.inc and psg.asm include files from Emil at :

Re: minicom parameters for sending S19 files to Tutor ?
Hi Greg, thanks for your reply !
It seems "LO1" was crucial to making it work, and those were minicom/ascii-xfr params I setup in minicom for ASCII transfer :
ascii-xfr -s -dv -c 1 -l 1
I'm not sure which parameters are really required (maybe -l 1 could be left out), but for now I'm happy.

Hi Greg !
My setup was at 38400, I lowered it to 9600 but it still fails with timeout...

Hi David, thanks again for your reply !
Using other apps provided in Fedora, like SerialTest and moserial,
I can see that Tutor sends TIMEOUT a little while after the LO command in all cases,
even when transfer is already finished, or in progress (e.g. due to line delay setting).

minicom parameters for sending S19 files to Tutor ?
Hello,
I can't seem to get a file to load successfuly into Tutor using minicom.
Is it correct that just the "LO" Tutor command should be used to put it in "receive mode" ?
Then, on the minicom side :
is it correct that "ascii" mode should be used (not kermit, x/y/z modem modes) ?

Thank you David for your reply.
I received the socket to complete the IO board today and now I can see tutor running
Didn't plug the VDP card yet since it's a bit late in the evening, plenty of fun for this week-end... (and beyond)

Standalone ROM code for 68008 + VDP9958 testing ?
Hi !
I've recently finished soldering MECB backplane, VDP with 9958 and 68008 boards,
but I'm missing the CPLD IC socket for the Motorola IO board.
So before I get the socket and complete the IO board, I'd like to test the other ones.
Could someone provide test code to flash in ROM that would ...
